Quentin Letts is currently the parliamentary sketch writer with the Daily Mail, where he was previously also a theatre critic from 2004 to 2020. Born in 1963, he attended school at The Elms, in Colwall and at Haileybury. He won a scholarship to Bellamine College, Kentucky and was a student there for a year. He studied Medieval English and Classical Civilisation at Trinity College, Dublin, where he also “drank Guinness, acted in plays and edited magazines.” While at TCD, he was editor of a number of publications, including “Piranha”. He then attended Jesus College, Cambridge, where he was awarded a Diploma in Classical Archeology.
